Introductory Hair Styling Course
COURSE FOCUS
If you are keen to polish or refresh your hair styling skills, then this is the perfect course for you! A fundamental knowledge in styling is essential for any hair graduate or make-up artist keen to succeed in a commercial arena. Michele McQuillan is providing a limited series of one to one courses focused on the key principals of expert hair styling; The one day hands-on seminar reveals the back stage secrets to world class styling, from textures to tongs, products and blow drying. Michele will share her international knowledge. Important concepts include how to meet the clients brief, does it suit the model, how long does your hairstyle have to last and what environment the hair will be exposed to, such as humidity.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is for anyone with some knowledge of photo shoots and who wants to learn the different techniques to get the basics right! Michele's objective is to help you feel confident in developing your skill set in hair and understand what it takes to meet professional briefs. You will be made aware of what you need to practice in order to compete in the commercial world. This course is designed to put you on the path and open up more job opportunities where hair is essential.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
These are not just demonstrations but also hands-on tutorials practising essential techniques, including the following:
What products I use and why?
Tonging, Curling, waving and putting movement into hair.
How to put hair up in an editorial way.
Perfecting styling skills including blow dry techniques.
Using different brushes and electrical appliances.
Wet looks.
Note : Workshops will be with models not head blocks!
To maximise the benefits of these classes the numbers will be kept extremely low, 6 per class to guarantee personalised training.
